Should I Use A Realtor When Buying New Construction

Full disclosure, I’m a Realtor…so yeah, you should for sure call a realtor! Now that we’ve acknowledged my Bias, I’ll tell you why.

1. Many of my clients who think they want to buy new construction actually find out they want to buy a re-sell home. A Realtor can help you with both.
2. The Builder contracts can be challenging to work with, and they are designed to benefit the builder, not so much the buyer. A Realtor can help you navigate the contracts with ease!
3. The builder literally pays your Realtor to take care of you, the buyer. You don’t get a discount if you don’t use a Realtor.
4. Navigating the Upgrade Process – Your Realtor will be able to advise you on if you can save money by upgrading your homes with a local contractor after closing.
5. As nice as most Builder Sales Reps are (truly they generally are great) they work for the builder, and have hard sales goals they have to meet to make incentives and bonuses. Your Realtor is working for you, and I just want you to buy the best home for you and your family…which isn’t necessarily the house the sales person is trying to sell you.

Hope that Helps!
